Protects and smoothes the decal so that it blends with the surface of the model. It also softens the decal to adapt it to surface details such as recessed lines, raised edges, screws or bolts. The amount of coats needed depends on the quality and thickness of the decal. Final varnish can be applied to the Decal if desired.

Apply Decal Fix with a soft brush on model surface, gently slide decal from its paper support and with a wet brush tip place decal on the model, pressing down lightly with the brush to eliminate excess liquid and avoid air bubbles. Remember the result depends on the quality of the brand of decals.

Times have changed in the hobby of model building and painting, most modellers are now starting out using only water-based acrylics. This guide covers the uses of acrylic colors, with the focus mainly on Acrylicos Vallejo, pioneers in this field.

The intention is to share the experience in using acrylics with all model painters, whether they are just starting out or switching over from solvent based paints.

The information in this book is the result of nearly twenty years working with Vallejo acrylic colors and auxiliary products and is meant to be used as a guide and reference.
